Our team is leading the creation of a comprehensive Installation Development Plan (IDP) for NSB Kings Bay, designed to guide long-term development and meet mission-critical needs. This project involves a collaborative process that integrates stakeholder engagement, data analysis, and strategic planning to deliver a forward-looking roadmap for the next 10 to 20 years.
The IDP will evaluate key areas such as utilities, transportation, circulation, parking, airfield capacity, open spaces, weapons handling/storage, and family support facilities. Recommendations will address short-term (0–5 years), intermediate (5–10 years), and long-term (10–20 years) development needs, ensuring alignment with FC 2‐100‐01 Installation Master Planning, the IDP Consistency Guide, and the Area Development Plan (ADP) Consistency Guide.
Using existing plans and data from the Internet Naval Facilities Asset Data Store (iNFADS) as a foundation, the IDP will integrate new insights and stakeholder feedback to prioritize capital improvement projects and investments. The plan will be exportable and compatible with the Navy Shore Infrastructure Planning Platform (iNSIPP), ensuring seamless integration with Navy systems.
This effort is focused on creating a visionary yet practical guide to support NSB Kings Bay’s mission while addressing infrastructure and development priorities in a structured and actionable format.
