Biography

Craig is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in environmental site assessments, remediation, and project management. He began his career at EMR, Inc. from August 2004 to February 2007, where he oversaw emergency response contractors, documented operations, conducted fieldwork, and negotiated with the Illinois EPA for incident closures. He managed Phase I Environmental Site Assessments for BNSF Real Estate Department and directed the $12M storm sewer cleaning operation post-Hurricane Katrina, successfully supervising up to 85 subcontractors.

Craig then joined AECOM, Inc. (formerly URS, Inc.) from February 2007 to March 2017 as a Geologist/Deputy Project Manager. He assisted in managing competitively bid PBR contracts worth up to $40 million, led the creation of work plans for MMRP sites, procured equipment, and coordinated subcontractors. His notable achievements include leading the $5.5M removal of 66,000 cubic yards of asbestos-containing material and maintaining an integrated master schedule.

From March 2017 to October 2018, Craig served as an MMRP Senior Environmental Scientist at GSI Companies, Inc. He contributed to winning DoD contracts up to $10 million, finalized work plans, and conducted regular status updates with clients and regulators. Craig holds an M.S. in Geology from Northern Illinois University and a B.A. in Music/Earth Science from the University of Northern Iowa. He is certified with a CDL-A, HAZMAT, Tanker endorsements, HAZWOPER 40-Hour, and is a Nebraska Professional Geologist. His areas of expertise include MMRP site evaluations, Phase I and II environmental site assessments, field sampling, historical research, technical reporting, and quaternary stratigraphy.
